With every year that passes by, we have newer models and new cars added to our wish list. This year is no different, in fact, 2018 is one of the years that has had people the most anticipating for the new launches. With the upcoming auto expo 2018 in Greater Noida, we will probably come across some of the models to be launched this year. Some of the best cars that might roll out this year in India according to me should be these –

1.Maruti Suzuki Swift

The car here has been one of the strongest on the block in terms of its sale and it is really great to have an update of such kind of car. The car will soon be launched In India with its third upgraded model. The car was first showcased in Japan last year and is expected to be more or less the same by the time it gets to India.

The car here is expected to offer a 1.2-litre petrol engine with a 1.3-litre diesel engine. The car this time might not offer exactly what the Japanese variant had to offer. The leather inside might be pseudo compared to the real in Japan and the infotainment system might not be as good as that in the other variant and the weather control might be limited to the top variant only.

2.Maruti Baleno

Since after its launch the car has been one of the hot sellers for Maruti after the swift series. The car packs a booster jet engine with a production of 101 bhp. The power delivery is great, the car is quite very responsive and with the pricing, it offers it beats most of its competitors as well.

3.Jeep Compass

The SUV has been a hit for the company since the time of its launch and had been much awaited by most that while. The car offers a lot of variants including its models in the diesel as well as the petrol models later in the year of its launch. The variants include manual and automatic transmission as well. For an average, the on road price for the car is approx. Rs.17.74 lakhs.

4.Hyundai Creta

The compact SUV segment in India has quite been of buzz lately and with its competitors like Duster, the car has been doing well for itself. The car recently had its BR-V model rolled out in petrol as well as diesel and has the options for an automatic transmission as well. The car is amazing in the segment with the pricing on it. You can get this running on the road for a price of Rs.10.34 lakhs in Delhi.

5.Honda City

This is one of the best sellers the company has had in India and has made many updates since its launch in India in 1998. Since the first generation launched in India, the car has been growing in its popularity and has become one of the best in its segment. The company too tries to keep it updated as the years pass by. The latest model too saw some changes in terms of its looks as the front grille was changed, some chrome was added to it and the headlamps have seen an update as well. The car currently might cost you something around the price of Rs. 9.79 lakhs on road.

6.BMW 6 Series GT

The Bavarian carmaker has unveiled the car to the world in 2017 at the Frankfurt motor show. Now the car is supposed to be soon making its debut at the auto expo in India. The GT here is for Gran Turismo and that seems to have been justified with the roomier cabin for the upgrade and the luxuries it has to offer. The features on this drive include boot capacity of slightly over 600 liters which could expand to thrice its value with the seats folded and the great ‘iDrive system’ with gesture control.

7.Jeep Renegade

Jeep has long been manufacturing jeeps dating back as far as before World War II in the year 1945. The company has since produced many jeep variants including many 4×4 drives and those for off-road SUVs as well. Then comes the upcoming SUV Jeep Renegade which too is a 4×4 drive variant.

India can expect this car to be launched at a price of almost Rs.12 lakh which might go as high as Rs.17 lakhs and the car will be available with 6-speed manual transmissions but there is the possibility for the 9- speed automatic gearbox as well.
